The deal in one line
This is the least expensive way to get a balcony at The Ville, because the hotel's rule is simple: suites have balconies, rooms do not.
Inside
A king bedroom, a separate lounge room, two LCD televisions with cable and pay-per-view, individually controlled air conditioning, a snack bar and fridge, free wifi and a safe. The hotel's tagline for it is a pun on the name ("the name says it all… luxe!"), and the substance behind the pun is the extra room and the outdoor space.
Partial views, explained
The first three floors put you low on the building. The hotel is straight about it: partial ocean and marina views. You will see masts and water, not the whole bay. If the panorama matters more than the balcony itself, the Executive Suite promises Magnetic Island and a balcony over the marina, the city and Castle Hill, for $85 more.
Good for
Evenings outside
A balcony in the tropics earns its keep after dark, when the heat drops and the marina lights come on.
Longer stays
A separate lounge means one of you can watch the late game while the other sleeps. Useful on a week-long work trip.
Not for families
The hotel lists two adults and no children, and a king bed. A rollaway can be added to a suite for $50 a night, if one is free.
