The free stadium bus, explained
For selected events at Queensland Country Bank Stadium the hotel runs a free return transfer from The Ville. The bus leaves 60 minutes before the event starts and comes back after it ends. The service is subject to availability, cancellation and change, so check the hotel's page on the day. It saves you parking at the stadium, and nobody in your group has to drive home.
Bigger fixtures without dates
The hotel's destination page names three of the region's headline events: the Supercars Townsville 500, Magnetic Island Race Week and the Northern Australian Festival of Arts. It gives no dates for them, so neither do we. Look them up before you book, and if your dates fall on one, ask us about rooms early.
Event nights and sleep
Several of these are big crowds on the hotel's doorstep. If you are coming for the show, a room near the action is a plus. If you are not, tell us and we will ask the hotel about a quieter room. More in our journal entry on catching the stadium bus.
