Same owner, different ships
The Ville's footer describes it as part of Morris Group, an independent, family-run business running a collection of Australian experiences, from resorts and lodges to restaurants and superyacht trips. Ardo, the hotel on the next lot, belongs to the same group. Google's map shows the two side by side at the top of the breakwater, with the convention centre beside The Ville.

What they share
A path between them
The Ville says the Ardo venues are reached by the pathway near The Palm House on Level 2.
Dining both ways
The Ville's FAQ lists Ardo Rooftop, Terasu and Marmor among the precinct's venues. Marmor serves elevated Australian food on Ardo's rooftop level; Terasu is Japanese, on Ardo's ground floor. The Ville describes them as chef-hatted.
One membership, one gift card
Vantage Rewards and the digital gift cards work at both hotels, for accommodation and dining.
How we would choose
Pick The Ville if the resort pool and its swim-up bar are the reason for the trip, if you want a suite with a balcony over the marina, if the buffet suits your family, or if you want everything, the casino included, under one roof.
Pick Ardo if a rooftop pool and a smaller house appeal more, or if a courtyard room or a corner suite sounds right. Ardo is not our subject and our desk does not take requests for it; book it through ardohotel.au.
Staying at The Ville and dining at Ardo, or the other way round, is easy. That may be the best answer of all.
Country
Ardo acknowledges the Bindal and Wulgurukaba peoples as the Traditional Owners of the land on which it operates. Townsville City Council's acknowledgement names the Wulgurukaba of Gurambilbarra and Yunbenun, Bindal, Gugu Badhun and Nywaigi peoples.
