• Keyboard

  Every link, button and form field can be reached with the Tab key, with a visible focus outline. A skip link jumps straight to the content.

• Screen readers

  Pages use real headings, labelled form fields, described images and tables with column headers.

• Motion

  The scrolling strip of facts under some headings stops if your device asks for reduced motion, and pauses when you hover over it.

• Dates

  The form takes dates as plain text (YYYY-MM-DD), so no date-picker is forced on you.

• Maps

  Most map panels load only when you press a button, and every map has a text address and a link to open it in Google Maps.

The hotel

What is published: valet parking ($15 a day) and free outdoor parking, a 24-hour front desk, and a concierge service. Interconnecting rooms are available but limited.

  The council describes it as gently sloped, with a shallow area suitable for wheelchair access and children.

• Castle Hill

  The council calls it easily accessible and suitable for people of all ages, fitness levels and capabilities, with a car park, toilets, drinking fountains and shaded seating.

• Townsville Airport

  Two signed accessible bays in the pick-up area (15 minutes, driver stays with the vehicle, permit displayed), accessible spaces in all car parks, and a Kerbside Concierge who can arrange a wheelchair-accessible taxi.
