What we collect
From the request form
Your name and email; your phone number if you give it; number of guests, dates, room preference and anything you write in the notes; your consent to a reply; and the page you sent the form from.
From email
Whatever you choose to write to hello@breakwaterstays.com, with your address.
Technical logs
Like any web server, ours records requests (IP address, time, page, browser type) for security and fault-finding. We do not use them to profile you.
What we use it for
To answer your request: checking availability and the rate, replying to you, and, if you confirm, passing your booking details to whoever completes the reservation. We also use it to keep a record of requests and any commission. We do not send newsletters or marketing, and we do not sell your details.

Cookies, analytics and maps
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Google Maps is the one exception to fully local pages: on most pages the map loads only when you press "Show the Google map"; on the getting here page the map is embedded and loads as you scroll to it. When a map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own policy. Links that open Google Maps in a new tab work the same way.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it to answer your request and keep our booking records. Ask us to delete your details at any time and we will, unless we must keep a booking record for a confirmed stay.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it: write to hello@breakwaterstays.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS only. Requests are stored on our server and in our desk system, and access is limited to the people who answer them. We never ask for card details, so we never hold them.
