Why one hotel
Most hotel sites try to cover a whole city and end up thin on all of it. We picked one property, The Ville Resort – Casino in Townsville, and its stretch of waterfront, and went deep: every room type, every venue's hours, the ferry, the Strand, the marina, the rules. The aim is a page you can plan from.
How we gather facts
Official first
The hotel's own pages come first, then the operators and authorities around it: Townsville City Council, Townsville Airport, Breakwater Marina, Gambling Help Queensland. Wikipedia is used only as a marked secondary source.
Dated
Every page lists its sources and the date we read them. The bulk of this site was checked on 31 October 2026.
Located
The map pin comes from the hotel's Google Maps card, checked against a screenshot.
Gaps left as gaps
If a fact is not published, we say so. No pet policy, no accessible-room details, no current room total: we flag them rather than fill them.
What we will not do
- Publish star ratings of our own, invent reviews or quote guests we have not heard from.
- Present the casino as a reason to visit, or link to gambling businesses.
- Pretend to be the hotel. We are not its official site and not affiliated with it.
- Show a photograph we do not have rights to. The pictures here are illustrations made with an image-generation tool, captioned as such, not photographs of The Ville.
Corrections
Hours and rates change. If something here is out of date, write to hello@breakwaterstays.com with the page and what has changed. We check it against the source and update the page with a new date.
