Why this page is short and dry
We write about The Ville because of the rooms, the pool and the waterfront. The casino is part of the building, so guests should know the rules that come with it. That is all this page does.

These hours matter for the hotel as a whole. A building that is busy until four or five in the morning is not a quiet one; if you sleep lightly, tell us when you request a room.
What is there
The hotel counts more than 370 gaming machines and more than 20 table games, plus TAB and Keno. A private lounge, the Orpheus Room, serves members of the top tiers of the venue's membership program and includes the city's only smoking lounge. We give the figures so you know the scale of the floor, not to recommend it.
Dress
No swimwear, no singlets, no high-vis or workwear, no steel-capped boots, and stricter footwear rules later at night. Coming straight from the pool or a work site, change first.
Safer gambling at the venue
The casino says it operates under the Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice and publishes these measures:
A safer gambling team
Reachable on (07) 4722 2333 in business hours, or through any casino staff member.
Exclusion
Self-exclusion and venue-initiated exclusion. Remote exclusion is possible through an agreement with Centacare North Queensland (1300 NQCARE, 1300 672 273), without entering the venue.
No cash machines on the floor
ATMs are on site but not within the gaming areas.
Time and limits
Clocks on machines and a large digital clock on the floor; pre-commitment limits for members.
18+. If gambling is causing harm to you or someone close to you, call the Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858, free and confidential, 24 hours a day. More, including how venue self-exclusion works in Queensland: responsible gambling.
Where it sits for hotel guests
Spin Café and the Sports Bar belong to the casino and are 18+. The pool, the gym, The Palm House, Quarterdeck and Miss Songs are not casino venues, and children are welcome in the family dining venues with an adult. For families, the practical point is simply that two venues are off limits to under-18s.
