Weddings
The hotel employs a wedding coordinator and sells packages that can cover accommodation, menu tastings, bridal showers and the ceremony itself. With lawns by the sea, a pavilion looking over the poolside lawns and a pool deck, it has room for a ceremony and a reception without moving guests off site. The details and prices sit with the hotel's events team, not with us.
Conferences and work trips
For companies there are corporate rates on rooms, handled by the hotel's Business Development Manager on (07) 4722 2208. The Barrier Reef Room's stage and dressing room suit an awards night; the Daintree Room suits a board meeting. The Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre next door is a separate venue.
Where our desk helps
Rooms for your guests
Tell us the dates, how many rooms and which types, and whether guests pay their own way. We check what is open and come back with options.
Mixed needs
Wedding parties often need a suite for the couple, family rooms for relatives and cheaper rooms for friends. The hotel has all three; we sort the request so the hotel sees it in one go.
The event itself
Venue hire, menus and run sheets are for the hotel's events team, through its enquiry form. We do not negotiate those, and we do not take a cut of them.
Group dining without a function
For a smaller celebration, the restaurants take groups directly: Miss Songs sets a banquet for up to 20, The Palm House books one to twenty online and has a private dining room, and Quarterdeck handles larger groups by enquiry. Our eat and drink page has the hours.
The green side
The hotel lists solar panels on The Pavilion's roof, sensor lighting, the end of single-use plastics including straws and plastic water bottles, and $5 from every hotel stay to Reef Keepers. For a corporate client with reporting to do, those are worth asking about in writing.
